VIP Cayo Largo



	BACKSTREET BOYS On 12th January, 2002, our tourist resort was visited by Kevin Richardson and Howard Dorough, members of the famous Backstreet Boys band, and for a day they enjoyed the beauty of this stunning cayo on their short visit to our country. In the photo they are accompanied by Luis Clarke, Minister of Tourism representative in Cayo Largo del Sur, together with the management of the Marinas Puertosol chain.

	DAVID SEALVER Canadian writer who has chosen our resort to write two of his books, the first L´Enfant du placard was written last year during his stay in Villa Capricho. When this photo was taken, on 23rd March, 2002, he was writing his second book and is accompanied by Lázaro Torriente, deputy manager of the Hotel Sol Club, and Luis Clarke, Minister of Tourism representative in Cayo Largo del Sur.

	DEBORAH ANDOLLO Deborah Andollo has visited our resort on several occasions; the last time was on 20th February, 2002, as guest-of-honour at the festivities for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Cayo Largo del Sur as a tourist resort. At his side is Pedro Monzón, who was the manager of the Cayo Largo Tourism Company.

	LILY Y NORMAND PARE Proprietors the web site cayolargo.net, which has significantly contributed to the promotion of our tourist product before, during and after Hurricane Michelle have been awarded the title of Distinguished Guest of Cayo Largo del Sur by the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) Office. In the photo, which was taken on 26th March, 2002, he is accompanied by Luis Clarke, Minister of Tourism representative, in an excursion organised by Marinas Puertosol.

	MORTEN HARKET Morten Harket, famoso cantante del grupo AHA, junto a su esposa e hijos, estuvieron en nuestro destino turístico durante los días del 21 al 26 de febrero del 2002, alojados en el Hotel Sol Club Cayo Largo, pudieron disfrutar de las bondades de nuestro destino turístico. En la foto lo acompaña Yosbany, Jefe de Animación del Hotel.

	ALBERTO JUANTONERA AND MARIA CARIDAD COLON In February 1992, Juantorena, World Champion and Olympic Winner in 400 and 800 meters and Maria Caridad Colon, First Latin American Gold Medal Winner in javeline with Olympic record, were invited to the activities on the occasion of the X Anniversary of Cayo Largo del Sur. During their stay they shared with the workers and participated in a marathon organized as part of the event.

	RITA LONGA Renowned Cuban scultptress was invited as guest of honor to the event Marmolsol, organized in Cayo Largo del Sur in February 1998. During her stay she shared with important Cuban actors accredited in this party of marble. In the picture she appears with Luis Clarke Wright, Delegate of the Minister of Tourism in Cayo Largo

	JAVIER SOTOMAYOR During five days in September 1992, World Recordist in outdoor ands indoor jumping was invited to the Second Tournament of Deep-Sea Fishing, organized by the Marina. During his stay he lodged at Villa Coral , sharing with our clients and actively participating in the activities with the staff of workers.
